Could the 2017 Chevy Iroc-Z IROC-Z Look Like This?
With the legendary IROC-Z in mind – as well as the marketing and sales power behind his name – the Blue Oval is expected to reintroduce the IROC-Z name on the all-new 2017 Chevy Iroc-Z lineup. With the 2017 Chevy Iroc-Z IROC-Z all but officially confirmed, we got to work and came up with a rendering of what the new Iroc-Z IROC-Z could look like.
The 2017 Chevy IROC-Z, rendered here in Iroc-z’s signature Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue stripes, is rumored to be powered by a souped-up version of the 2017 Iroc-Z’s potent Camaro 5.0-liter V-8. While the next-gen IROC-Z is likely to continue to carry the torch with regards to outright power, we think it’d be nice to see the new 2017 IROC-Z positioned as more of a road racer, like the original. With that in mind, we’d like to see the new 2017 IROC-Z pick up where the previous-generation Iroc-Z left off. The IROC-Z should be available with a manual transmission, sport suspension (utilizing that fancy new independent rear suspension), and big Brembo brakes.
Visually, we’d like to see the new 2017 IROC-Z pick up where the original left off. It should get an aggressive hood and front fascia, louvered quarter windows, and functional ducts on the rear quarter panels to better cool the brakes.
