If GM is saving the IROC-Z name, its because its worth a decent amount of money that they don't want to liquidate.........yet. Another reason, which is unlikely, is that its part of GM's heritage and they don't want to sell it off to a company that would tarnish the pedigree....imagine "The New Chevy Kazashi, a Suzuki parent company. The IROC-Z name will eventually be resurrected, but underscored by the name of the vehicle and be a subsidiary of GM, not its own separate entity. Ex.... "The new 2019 Chevy IROC-Z Camaro..by Camaro" but sold by Chevrolet dealers. They should keep that connection of the model to Chevy.
