2018 Chevy IROCZ previewed
The closer we get to the debut of the 2018 IROCZ, the more likely we are to see rumors and guesses about the car. CamaroIrocz is the latest to offer up speculation about Chevy’s next generation IROC car, although many of the details aren’t exactly new. For example, CamaroIrocz claims that the new 2018 IROCZ will feature an independent rear suspension, will be lighter and smaller, and will possibly be offered with an EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder.
There were a few new details in CI’s article that were of interest, however. The magazine declares that the 2018 IROCZ will undergo a “radical redesign” that will be less retro. “There will be plenty of classic IROCZ cues even as designers throw out the retro,” they state. “A long hood/short deck and crisp, creased upper and lower quarter-panels seem a given.” Finally, CamaroIrocz has also done the math, and figured out that the second of the 2017 New York Auto Show press days falls on the exact 40th anniversary of the original IROCZ’s debut. Could this be the day that the 2018 IROCZ is unveiled? It sounds like an ideal time to us.
